Jonathan Tuttle is our founder and President/New Business Director. He brings a lifetime worth of experience in the animal health and nutrition industry, literally field to plate. In addition to growing up in the ag, feed and animal health world he also has practical experience by raising white park cattle, icelandic sheep and heritage breed hogs for processing as pasture fed meats sold through a variety of outlets.
Jonathan has more 30 years experience both from the client and agency sides of the table in the animal and human health and nutrition and agribusiness sectors. He has extensive experience in developing brands that create excitement, and action. An entrepreneur by nature he has excelled at start-ups and invigorating existing businesses with new life. He has led the marketing efforts for a wide range of lifescience and biotechnology clients in the animal health and nutrition, human health and medical, medical device, pharmaceutical and agribusiness industries. Jonathan’s entrepreneurial spirit and passion for excellence contribute to the firm’s impressive track record for helping to generate results for our clients.
In his freetime, he enjoys photography, sailing, traveling and watching his kids play soccer.
Meet Julia Hoag ,DVM, our VP/Medical Communications Director. If you’ve met her already you know she is driven and full of energy in everything she does. Her zest for life is contagious and she brings that enthusiasm and passion into every area of helping clients.
Julia (or Julie as she is best known) has extensive experience in animal and human medical marketing with large global pharmaceutical companies including RPR (now Sanofi-Aventis) and was Sr. Global Medical Affairs Manager for AstraZeneca worldwide, where she participated in new drug launches, expansion of indications and introduced new delivery technology. Although a veterinary doctor by training, she has extensive experience with human medical marketing with products in many disease states.
Julie's 30 year career as a veterinarian has allowed her to work with dozens of species in settings from zoos and elephant rescue preserves, as well as in private practices that range from densely urban small animals, to farm calls, to third world bush medicine, and has licenses in 2 states and in 3 countries.
Julie also has a strong base in training, having planned and conducted outcomes-based training programs within the pharmaceutical industry, government agencies in developing nations, CME for vets, and basic training for vet students in 3 countries. She currently participates in global street dog rescue and rabies eradication programs and continues to publish research on the medical and social issues facing street dogs and the human populations in which they live.
Something our clients appreciate is to stay current on what's happening she still practices veterinary medicine a few days a month in a mixed animal clinic. In her free time, Julie still Julie participates in triathlons, loves showing her Morgan mare and training her Aussies, one of whom is deaf.
Julie offers our clients cross-functional experience and insight that is extremely valuable in developing and implementing marketing strategies. And her eclectic skills set makes her a master networker and imaginative problem solver for new product development and launches as well as market expansion.
Bob Giblin, APR, our VP of Operations/Director of Public Relations provides seasoned business strategy and public relations counsel. He brings more than 35 years of experience in increasing sales, expanding markets, and building organizational relationships and reputations -- nationally and globally.
Bob focuses on achieving measurable business results through research-based strategy and planning, issues and crisis management, stakeholder engagement and creative problem solving. His experience spans the agriculture and food industries, including agrichemicals, biotechnology, plant and livestock genetics, animal health, fruits and vegetables, and grain crops. Bob has led or played key roles on teams addressing critical organizational issues, such as freedom to operate; sustainability; reducing downstream and market barriers to agricultural technologies; legislative action; improving the image of agriculture; siting agricultural facilities; and litigation. He has managed market research and public relations programs in North, Central and South America; Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Bob started his career as an active duty U.S. Army photojournalist. He later joined the Wisconsin National Guard and retired as a public affairs officer after nearly 30 years of service.
He also writes, speaks and consults on agricultural and food trends and issues. He is Accredited in Public Relations and served for many years as a member of the board that oversees public relations Accreditation. On weekends, Bob enjoys bicycling, hunting and fishing, canoeing, and pursuing his passion for food as a certified Barbeque judge.
Melissa Cusumano is our VP/Director of all things creative (aka. Creative Director). She brings more than 25 years of agency experience to the table – years spent working with both agency and in-house creative teams from the midwest to the west coast. Her client roster has included Intel, Whirlpool brands, Nike, Jeld-Win windows and doors, HP, Fujitsu, and most recently she gained unique insights into the human health arena on HCA Far West Division, Jefferson Health, and more than 30 other hospitals and health systems.
Her strength is in the details, always thinking, never assuming, providing options, offering solutions and most importantly, never forgetting the big idea. Her capabilities include consumer product launches, brand development, visual identities, creative strategy, and guiding powerful ideas from concept through final execution.
Outside of the office, Melissa is an avid equestrian with years in the hunter/jumper ring. She also enjoys time spent with her husband and daughter and their crazy lab mix Valentine.
